January 2026 Meeting
Greetings Brothers and Sisters,
Welcome to the summary of our January Member’s Meeting.
Both meetings were held as scheduled on January 14th with our Swing Shift Meeting beginning at 13:03 and our Day Shift Meeting slightly behind schedule at 16:21.
For those who have not been able to attend a meeting or are unfamiliar with how a meetings operates, all our meeting operate under Robert’s Rules of Order, and we follow our Guide to a Well-Conducted Meeting. Click the button below to read more about this guide.
We start with The Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a roll call of Officers. All Officers, except for an excused absence from our Secretary-Treasurer, were in attendance.
We did not have any visitors or guests in attendance and we have verification of quorum at both meetings.
Brother Aaron, our Recording Secretary, read the Minutes of our last meeting, which were accepted as read and become the permanent record of Locals actions for all future reference to the last meeting.
Next, we had the report of the Secretary-Treasurer. Since Brother Brett was not in attendance, President, Brother Derrick gave the report.
For the bills, the membership in attendance authorized payments for continued renewal of this websites domain and the food and labor to provide food for our members in attendance.
For communications, we received a letter from our GVP of the western Territories reminding Locals and Districts that before any funds are dispersed above the amount set by the Territories, we must request permission from the Territories and our GVP. You can learn more by clicking the button below.
Reports from the Officers
For reports from our Officers, Brother Timothy Simon (VP) gave a report on the Quarterly Meeting with Lockheed Martin. He addressed many bullet points that were discussed at said meeting and expressed the importance of many programs currently within the Lockheed Bargaining Unit. If you wish to know more and due to the nature of information not to be made publicly available, please feel free to reach out.
I, President and current Communicator, Brother Derrick Hernandez addressed my desires with regards to business I wished to bring to New Business. The primary topic being an update to our new URL and Domain. Explaining the new branding from the International and the update to remove the term “Lodge” from all things associated within our Union. This is why as of reading this you will notice our new URL as https://www.local727p.org. Our old URL, as printed on shirts throughout our Local, will continue to work but it will be redirected to our new Domain.
Brother Aaron Ashley (RS) addressed within the Lockheed CBA for those desiring to take MLK Day off to do so within the guide and rules of the CBA. You can read more here, however at the time of reading this day has passed.
Every other Officer thanked everyone for coming and wished everyone a Happy New Year.
